The John R. Wooden Classic Golf Tournament and Benefit Dinner presented by ditech.com, benefiting Special Olympics Southern California and Orangewood Children’s Foundation, is a three-day celebration of the extraordinary legacy of excellence established by the legendary UCLA college basketball coach, John Wooden. Coach Wooden, Special Olympics Southern California, and Orangewood Children’s Foundation share common bonds in their commitment to excellence by providing programs to people who desire to excel in life and do one’s best.
The first event begins with a fun-filled day of golf at Irvine’s Oak Creek Golf Club and concludes with an Awards Reception. This Tom Fazio designed course, named after the beautiful creek that runs through it, welcomes golfers of all skill levels. Featuring tapered fairways, picturesque greens, beautiful lakes and bull-nose carved bunkers,Oak Creek® rewards your senses as it beckons your competitive spirit. Golf teams are available for $750 per player. Please contact the Honda Center at 714-704-2400 to purchase tickets.
The following evening will feature a banquet dinner at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel honoring Coach Wooden that will include the coaches from the four schools participating in the college basketball doubleheader. The event brings to Southern California the best in college basketball and will feature hometown favorite UCLA. Tickets for the Coaches Dinner are $150 per person.
