Foster parents often care for children with emotional, behavioral
and physical problems. Time Out for Parents Program (TOPS) allows
these foster parents to take breaks from their foster children,
so they may regain the energy necessary to care for these special
kids. TOPS provide temporary, short-term care for children in
foster care and for children who are at risk of being abused or
neglected.
The TOPS program is now being administered by New Alternatives.
