Corporate/Business Volunteering:
Did you know that volunteering with our programs can help build employee morale and retention, bring some flare into your next meeting, support team building, highlight your convention or conference in a unique way, or possibly increase media coverage of your company’s community service efforts? It’s rewarding for your employees, you and the youth. And no, it doesn’t take a lot of time or money to make a impact. Orangewood Children’s Foundation has a variety of projects that can be done at your location or externally. If you are interested in looking into how your group can support the Foundation, please view our Corporate Opportunities flyer. Additional project management support tailored to meet your goals is available upon request. Please contact Kristi Piatkowski, Volunteer Services Program Manager, for more information at (714) 619-0248 or KPiatkowski@orangewoodfoundation.org.
Help with a Fundraising Event:
The Foundation conducts fundraising events throughout the year to raise money and awareness for child abuse and programs. Please visit the events calendar to view upcoming events. Volunteers are needed to help on auction committees, event planning committees, as well as to help on event days. Please contact our Chief Development Officer, Carlos Leija, at cleija@orangewoodfoundation.org at (714) 619-0200 ext. 201 for more information on how you can volunteer at one of the Foundation’s events.
Volunteer at a Youth Event:
Orangewood staff needs help from community volunteers to conduct outreach programs for foster youth. Events such as the Career Fair and Independent City engage volunteers in helping to plan and execute these events. Volunteers are also needed to speak at Independent Living Program youth workshops. Please contact our Volunteer Services Program Manager, Kristi Piatkowski, at kpiatkowski@orangewoodfoundation.org or at (714) 619-0200 ext. 248 for more information on how you can get involved with youth events.

Join an Auxiliary:
44 Women for Children
Founded in 1999 by Susan Samueli, the 44 Women for Children auxiliary contributes to Orangewood Children’s Foundation by nurturing, supporting and inspiring adolescents emancipating from the foster care system on their 18th birthdays. 44 Women for Children focuses its efforts on three key areas: providing mentoring and education, increasing community awareness about child abuse and neglect, and hosting annual fundraising events. For more information, visit the 44 Women for Children website.

Orangewood PALS
Orangewood PALS is a group of fun and energetic professionals who have come together to make a positive impact on the lives of abused and neglected children in Orange County. PALS supports the work of the Orangewood Children’s Foundation in a variety of ways, including hosting events and activities for the abused children placed at Orangewood Children’s Home (now called the Orangewood Children & Family Center), funding Orangewood scholarships, and mentoring former foster youth in college. Members also enjoy social events such as the annual Athlete’s First Gala and Golf event held at the St. Regis Monarch Beach. For more information, visit the Orangewood PALS website.

For questions about either of our auxiliaries, please contact Jeff Gilstrap, Manager of Auxiliary Services, at jgilstrap@orangewoodfoundation.org or at (714) 619-0200 ext. 237.
