Orangewood Resource Center The Orangewood Resource Center (ORC) is available to assist you with services needed to become independent. Our goal is to provide you with individualized guidance and assistance to help you live independently. Independent Living Program The Independent Living Program (ILP) provides workshops, special events and support services to foster youth between the ages of 16-21, to help prepare them for emancipation. Grants Grants provide financial, educational, and emergency assistance to current and former foster youth from Orange County, California, with an emphasis on those who are pursuing higher education after emancipation. Rising Tide Communities Rising Tide is an affordable and supportive transitional housing program for young adults (single or with children) who are at least 18 years of age and who have emancipated from the foster care system or are AB12 eligible. Sex Trafficking/CSEC Services Specialized support and services for youth involved in or at risk of sex trafficking in Orange County Peer Mentors Peer Mentoring is an employment opportunity for former foster youth who have successfully transitioned from foster care to independence and want to serve as positive role models to youth currently in foster care or whom have transitioned out of care. Scholarships If you are a former Orange County foster youth pursuing a higher education, you may be eligible for an Orangewood scholarship. The scholarship may help you with your expenses. It will provide financial, educational, and emergency assistance to former foster youth pursuing higher education. Youth Connected Program Lyon Workforce Academy
